So, what is on this week’s show?

Guest 1:

Alex’s first guest is Xavier Orr, the CEO and Co-Founder of Advanced Navigation, the world’s most determined innovator in AI robotics and navigation technologies, with the company having just joined forces with Australia’s own privately “Space Machines Company” to launch Australia’s largest private satellite called Optimus into space, in March, on board a SpaceX rocket. The vehicle will provide repair, refuel and upgrade services to crucial space infrastructure directly in Earth’s orbit (think AAA or NRMA for space).

Optimus will be equipped with Advanced Navigation’s space-grade inertial navigation system, the Boreas X90. It will allow the vehicle to ‘jump’ between orbits and ‘dock’ at different satellites with ultra high precision and accuracy.

Guest 2:

Alex’s second guest is Aaron Bugal, the APJ Field Chief Technology Officer for global cyber security company, Sophos.

The company has just launched its 2024 edition of “The Future of Cyber Security in Asia Pacific and Japan“, which I wrote about here (and have a fantastic video interview with Sophos ANZ MD, John Donovan, and Cybermindz.org founder, Peter Coroneos).

But instead of focusing on the traditional issues of viruses, malware, ransomware and other cyber attacks, this edition focuses on the mental health and wellness of cyber security professionals, and the all-too common problems of burnout that are seeing a high turnover in the industry. Aaron will cover the topics of how AI is helping and hindering the fight, how companies are tackling the mental health issues revolving around being in a constant state of heightened awareness, and much more!
