Continuing its mission to bringing OLED to everyone across virtually its entire range, save for those models under $1000 (for now), ASUS has designed its Windows PC line-up to push the boundaries with groundbreaking designs, extreme performance, and premium durability, and it’s now on sale, challenging all competitors alike.

From the world’s slimmest OLED ultraportable laptop, to a sneak peek of the world’s first pro-level laptop with glasses-free 3D OLED display that’s on sale now overseas and coming to Australia in 2024, ASUS has gone from three OLED models in 2021 to a whopping 24 models in 2023.

And that doesn’t include the handheld gaming console called the ROG Ally launched last week, at time of publication, which houses a fully-featured Windows PC powered by the AMD Z1 and Z1 Extreme processor – you can see the launch event in full as I made a video recording of that event, too, which is all here, let alone the earlier launch this year of the ASUS ROG gaming laptops, which I published with full videos at iTWire when I was still there.

But the newest launch is of the ASUS Lifestyle PC lineup for 2023, with these 24 models now available in Australia, from the mid-range Vivobook models through to the Zenbook and Studiobook models, with this launch representing the next step in what ASUS says is its “drive to make OLED technology more attainable for Australians and lead the industry in PC OLED technology.”

Here is the full launch video of the event, after which is plenty more to read about and see – please watch and read on!

ASUS explains those three product ranges, with Studiobooks being suitable for professional creators; Zenbooks, for savvy consumers who are focused on performance and aesthetic; and Vivobooks, which are designed for everyday users and creators.

The company also notes this continued integration of OLED technology in its lifestyle line-up “has been at the forefront of its business plans given the constant growth and demand for the premium display technology,” and why not? OLED displays are vibrant and bright, looking noticeably better than traditional LCD screens, and with ASUS delivering 70% lower blue light than LCDs, the screens are much friendlier to our eyes, too.

Brad Howe, the Head of Consumer for ASUS Australia, who is the main presenter in the launch video below and who I also interview separately further below, said: “We first launched the world’s most comprehensive lifestyle line-up with OLED in 2021 and in 2023, we’re focused on continuing to be the market leader in OLED laptops.

“Incredible technologies are often aspirational but rarely are they available to the masses. ASUS has committed to updating its three key lifestyle product ranges, ensuring more Australians have an opportunity to access an OLED display at various price points. As the content creator market continues to grow, we recognise all Australians are creators in their own right, so we are proud to be able to provide OLED technology to support this market.”

Plenty more detail is below on the 2023 range of Lumina OLED displays, as well as more information on the Studiobooks, Zenbooks and Vivobooks, so please read on!
