WWF (the World Wildlife Fund) and its local partners have deployed over 1,100 camera sensors across Australia to monitor bushfire-affected wildlife, and have used Google’s AI to sort through 7 million images and found really positive signs of hope for wildlife recovery. Meanwhile, you can see nearly 50 images of the various animals that the WWF cameras were able to capture over here – some wonderful photos are to be found!

  4. Apple and Google have announced an initiative for an industry specification to address unwanted tracking – more details here.

Apple releases new “Rapid Security Response” fixes for its devices – releasing new updates for iOS, iPadOS and MacOS – to fix security problems as quickly as possible – so once again, it’s time to update – with Android and WIndows users also needing to check for updates. Last Sunday, 30 April, was the 30th anniversary of the World Wide Web, invented by Sir Tim Berners Lee as a way for CERN scientists to share information with each other – what incredible changes the web has seen in 30 years!
