Aldi Special Buys: Nice tech gear at Aldi across on 1 June 2024 – portable monitor $149, Lenovo Android tablet $199 and more!

Everybody loves the “Special Buys” centre aisle at Aldi, where you’ll find a regularly rotating cornucopia of clothing, cooking accessories, paint, speciality foods, gizmos and gadgets and tons more – and this week, you’ll find some keenly priced tech to tantalise and tempt the hearts, minds and wallets of Aldi’s fanatically loyal customers – so what’s on offer?

From Saturday, 1 June, ALDI will have a Special Buys range dedicated to elevating your WFH sanctuary – which is especially apt given corporations haven’t had the success they might have wanted in getting everyone back to the office on a full time basis, and given we all love the flexibility that working from home offers.

Of course, these products aren’t only for working from home – you might want them for your office environment, too, while the portable monitor and Android tablet in the headline can be used anywhere you want.

So, what is Aldi offering this week – with the gentle reminder that regular Aldi customers have no need of – that these offers typically sell out fast – so you need to act fast if any of these offers are of interest!

Well, the short version is that for under $200 you can get a brand-new Lenovo Tab M11 Bundle ($199) – or, you can opt for a Bauhn-branded 15.6″ Portable Monitor ($149 – see video below) that connects via USB-C or mini-HDMI, perfect if you don’t want to commit to a full desktop monitor set-up, as you might simply not have the space – or you want a second monitor for your laptop computer.

Or perhaps you want to plug in an Amazon Fire TV stick, Apple TV, Google TV with Chromecast, or a games console like a Nintendo Switch, so you can have a bigger screen when playing anywhere that isn’t in front of your giant home TV.

I checked prices for similar screens at Amazon Australia, and most were a little more expensive, with only one at about $120, but as always, you get what you pay for – and we know that Aldi’s Bauhn brand is always good quality for the lower prices Aldi charges.

That short version turned out a little longer that I had initially planned, so what else?

Well, if you’re looking for a new desk, why not try out a Standing Office Desk ($159) to help with your posture at home – with excessive sitting having been hyperbolically billed a few years back as “the new smoking” – making a standing desk a nice and healthier alternative?
