Nokia’s “Amplify Oceania” event showcased its innovative technology and solutions, with the company “reaffirming its unwavering commitment to driving and accelerating Australia’s digital transformation and economic growth”, with excellent presentations by all concerned, but especially by Hilary Mine, Nokia’s VP of Strategy and Technology – this is “must watch” for anyone interested in the very latest in 5G and 6G networks, extended reality. the metaverse and advanced telecommunications!
Earlier this year, Nokia refreshed its brand strategy and logo, highlighting its status as a B2B technology innovation leader that is spearheading the development of cutting-edge network solutions and advancements.
The company positioned itself at the forefront of global innovation, empowers Australian and global enterprises and communication service providers (CSPs) to unlock their digital capabilities and fully embrace the abundant opportunities presented by digitalisation.
As you’ll see in the video embedded a little further below, the “Amplify Oceania” event began with a keynote address by Satu Mattila-Budich, Ambassador, Embassy of Finland in Australia, followed by a presentation by Andrew Cope, Head of Nokia Oceania, who unveiled Nokia’s refreshed brand and presence in Oceania. Thereafter, Hilary Mine, Vice President of Strategy and Technology, provided an overview of Nokia’s technology leadership, and latest technology innovation and solutions, and it concluded with a series of demonstrations by Perry Poehlmann, the Head of Marketing for Nokia Asia Pacific and Japan.

Nokia’s recent work in developing 5G to provide the metaverse with sustainable and efficient connectivity has shown how a demo of 360-degree immersive space is becoming a key component in some industrial metaverse experiences.
Recent data shows how the Australian and Oceania Metaverse market is expected to reach US $999 million in 2023 with an annual growth rate of 38.75%. With consistent technological advancements, there are expected to be 13 million users by 2030 which is an outstanding example of how Nokia’s project partnerships are working to develop devices, platforms, applications and connectivity.
