Cybermindz is the world’s first mental wellness program for cyber security professionals, having successfully launched in Australia in 2022, the US in April 2023, and which will launch this September in the UK, as the non-profit organisation continues its mission and global growth.

Founded by Peter Coroneos, Cybermindz.org supports mental wellbeing in the cyber community, and recognises that many cyber security professionals – the very people that defend our digital, and thus actual, reality – are themselves under sustained and increasing stress, so Cybermindz set about providing direct intervention to restore and rebuild emotional and cognitive health and alleviate suffering.

Back in April 2023, Cybermindz.org successfully launched in the US alongside the RSA 2023 conference in San Francisco, with a video of highlights embedded a little further below. The event followed the non-profit organisation’s successful launch in Australia during 2022, having run a number of pilot programs, gaining the support of companies such as Mimecast, Deloitte, Allianz, CyberCX and others.

Now comes news of Cybermindz.org’s UK launch, which will see the second “Mental Health in Cybersecurity Leadership Summit” coinciding with this launch, in parallel with the organisation’s powerful US launch – and again, the video highlights of that launch are embedded below.

Naturally, Cybermindz.org is calling for sponsors to support its UK launch, with interested parties able to contact Peter Coroneos via the “Contact Us” page at the Cybermindz site, via Peter’s LinkedIn page, or via the email address at the LinkedIn post that makes this announcement.

In a message to UK based cyber professionals, Coroneos stated: “We look forward to bringing our groundbreaking evidence-based, peer-informed, military-proven mental health support programs to you this year. We address and reverse burnout and reconnect you with mission and purpose. We use the iRest protocol to restore emotional and cognitive reserves.

“We are a not-for-profit social enterprise. We are born of cyber so we know the challenges because we have felt them directly ourselves. We help our peers using scalable, effective and measurable methods.

“Our mission is to alleviate suffering in cyber teams and beyond—and thereby strengthen organisational and societal resilience at large.”
