With AstraZeneca under investigation in the UK over its COVID vaccine, does anyone trust AI to create a cancer drug that will presumably one day be marketed as “safe and effective”?
The UK Telegraph newspaper has an article titled “Oxford AstraZeneca COVID jab was “detective”, claims landmark legal case.”
This contrasts with a report by Reuters and another by Fierce Biotech, where AstraZeneca is building a cancer drug with AI, with a $247 million grant.
I have a lot of faith in AI’s ability to help humanity, so it is exciting to see it being used in this way for good… but it’s still a worry. See the articles above for more information!
